ABOUT THE ALBUM

In February 2020, Massimo Magee, Joshua Weitzel, and Tim Green met for a short tour in Germany. These recordings are from the beautiful ambiance of Villa Plagwitz in Leipzig, their three voices combining in two pieces of purely improvised communication across a broad sound-world, naturally and freely flowing through the full gamut of musical expression on their instruments.

Magee and Weitzel have worked together in various projects since meeting in London in 2015; their investigations covering an area from conceptual music and electroacoustic improvisation to free jazz. Green and Magee share a long history of musical exploration together since 2009, running the spectrum from minimalist electroacoustic improvisation to full-throated fire music. This diversity of interests came to full flowering on this evening in Leipzig, entwining in a spontaneous celebration of pure multifaceted possibility.
